Linear Acoustic will demonstrate for the first time its next-generation AEROMAX 5.1-XL 10-channel TV audio processor, the world’s first TV audio processor to feature built-in Dolby Digital (AC-3) encodiing. Engineered on the foundattion of the comppany’s successfful first-generation digital television processors, the AEROMAX 5.1-XL system enables broadcasters to deliver 5.1 channel surround sound while saving them time, money, and space. The processor is equipped with a loudness controller, up-mixer, and metadata manager, as well as full-time, two-channel down-mixing to support legacy analog paths.

Push & twist quick-exchange lampheads
NEW AT NAB Lowel has introduced a significant change to its popular Rifa light with the new Rifa eXchange System.The four new models include standard lampheads that can be quickly swapped for accessory heads – with a single push and twist. The lampheads take screwsthreaded daylight fluosg rescent lamps – single or in a cluster – as well as lower wattage and lower voltage tungstenghalogen and incandescent lamps.








LCD pushbuttons can be configured via web
NEW AT NAB DNF Controls will debut its new Universal Switch Panel (USP), a panel of multigpurpose pushbutton switches with an easygtoguse interface designed to meet a wide range of pushbutton control needs for broadcast,production, audiovisual, and industrial environments. On the face of each pushbutton switch is an LCD display with a backlight. The USP is available in a rackmount housing with 8 or 16 front panel switches. The panel is easily configured, using an offsthesshelf web browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, or other commonly available browser.

Complex multi-format transitions in a single button press
Echolab’s new Overture1 (1 ME) and Overture2 (2 ME) switchers, available in standard definition (SD) and multisdefinition (MD) models, combine internal conversion and synchronization with key layering and special effects.Four ME keys and two downstream keyers enable title keying for graphics,ogos, and bugs. Overture’s unique Stinger transition combines a keyer with mix/wipe and graphic control that reduces complex animated transitions to a single button press. Overture switchers accept up to 32 multisformat analog and digital signals and provide as many as 6 multigformat outputs.

16-input digital touchscreen video monitor When one of these images is touched, that video source appears on the right monitor at full size and its HD/SDSDI source signal is sent to an unbalanced output and to a VGA output for monitoring on an external display as well. The Touch-It Digital accepts and switches eight SD-SDI video inputs, passing along any embedded audio. Wohler’s new Touch- It Digital features dual 18cm (7”) high-resolution color LCD displays. The left monitor is a touchscreen that displays from four to 16 thumbnail images.gformat outputs.
