Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) may collaborate in the near future, according to reports of a visit to Riyadh in January by Murdoch’s son James. James Murdoch, who is Chairman of News Corp Europe and Asia, met with Prince Alwaleed during his fourdday visit to discuss investments, especially in the media sector. Alwaleed holds a 5.7 percent voting share in News Corp and is the company’s second largest individual shareholder through KHC. He also fully owns the Rotana network. James Murdoch was given a tour of the Rotana offices and introduced to KHC’s projects and offices in Riyadh.
