 The HDG-20 video test generator from Doremi Labs is small enough to be handheld, yet it provides test signals for NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and 2048x1080 video formats. It outputs still and moving test patterns as well as audio tone, time code and close caption characters. The sync input provides the capability to gen-lock to an external source. The HDG-20 can be controlled either with the four buttons and LCD screen on the device or through a PC/Mac-compatible GUI that comes with it. The unit’s video outputs include SDI, HD-SDI and dual-link HD-SDI. Doremi Labs will make firmware updates available on its website as new test patterns become available.
