by
Multidyne designed the RGB-5000 for situations where a video monitor is required across the building, or even across the city, from the video source.  It can transport up to 18 RGB/UXGA signals over distances of 200m to 40km via a single fiber optic cable.  The unit uses Coarse Wave Division Multiplexer (CWDM) technology to combine this large number of signals on one cable.  The RGB-5000 uses the UXGA format and horizontal gen-lock to transmit signal resolutions of up to 1600x2000 without synchronization errors or jitter.  It offers a total analog bandwidth of up to 600 MHz.
Retail pricing for the Multidyne RGB-5000 starts at $3,995 per end.
