Axon NV8288 Mobile Digital Video Routers

 Axon’s newest routers are a mere 10RU and 20RU in size, but can be configured for systems as large as 288x576 and 576x576, respectively. The smaller unit is only 68kg and 30.5cm deep. The manufacturer expects these routers will be installed in OB vans, where their size, two kilowatt power consumption, front-serviceable design and front-to-back cooling system will be most appreciated. Capable of routing either SD or HD, the NV8288 routers can run at data rates of up to 1.5 Gbps and, with a future upgrade, will go as high as 3 Gpbs to handle the coveted 1080P HD format.
