by

US-broadcaster Clear Channel Radio is broadcasting 200 of its stations in digital HD, up from 65 stations in early 2005. The company intends to have 95 percent of its stations in the top 100 markets broadcasting in HD by the end of 2007. HD digital radio upgrades FM and AM by adding a digital signal to the analog system. HD digital radio receivers are required to experience the crystal clear sound.
