Neutrik designed the OpticalCon fiber optic connection system to improve both the reliability and the uptime of the LC-Duplex system. With the OpticalCon, you can run power or data signals through as many as four copper wires. The OpticalCon’s improvements include a rugged conection, an all-metal housing, and heavy-duty cable retention. Neutrik created a SMPTE version with an additional ground-shell contact that works especially well for the needs of broadcast engineers. Prices start at $800.
